Held in September 30, 2017, the final rounds of the Philippine Science Olympiad were held in the Philippine Institute of Quezon City. It was divided into the Preliminaries, which were further divided into the Practical and Written parts. Only the top 10 trios can pass through these tests and have the chance to take the title of champion.
The PSHS-WVC trio composed of Jenn Christel C. Sampiano, Seth William C. Tionko, Ewemiz C. Insigne were able to place in the top 10 finalists and have a final showdown with the remaining teams. They rose to the fifth place, with St. Jude Catholic School placing first, PSHS-CMC, BRC, and then SMC placing second, third, and fourth respectively.
